What do I do now??

Well I am not going to have a vehicle of ANY kind for the next TWO MONTHS!!! Dh will not let me get a another vehicle of any kind for any price.
He says if we buy a new/used car then we can't save the money we need to get the RV "we" want. What "we"???? I don't "want" an RV to live in. I have no choice or say in this whole thing. But I figured if I HAD to live in an RV I was gonna at least get one I approved of.
What now?? Well my 5yr old A.J.'s school is just over a mile away. So my 3 yr old Matthew and I get to walk A.J. to school, then we walk home and a couple hours later we will need to walk back to school to get my A.J.
It so comforts me that there are a million other things more important to my dh then his wife and kids. Would your dh do this to you??
If it was his vehicle with the problem he would have a new one yesterday, but I guess he is more special then us.

Oh that sucks! We only have car also, so I don't get to go anywhere or do anything, and I know how bad it is. Luckily I just have a 1 1/2 year old, so she doesn't have to be anywhere. Can you drop him off at work and take the car? It means some extra driving, but maybe he'll get tired of it and decide that you do need one. We do that when dd has a doctor's appt, etc. His work is 20 min away though, so it's a big pain to do. I usually spend the rest of the day at my in-laws so dd can nap, as opposed to driving the 20 min home, then the 20 min back to pick him up.

You know how I feel about this, he is a total jerk to do this to you and no, my hubby wouldnt do this. Why do you have no say? Thats so unfair. I am very sorry.

I would probably hide the keys to my husbands car and make him walk to work. There is no way I would drag myself and the kids a mile to school. Sure a mile isn't that far, but at the same time, thats a lot of a 5 year old to walk BEFORE he is expected to sit still and pay attention in shcool.
